Jeez - you got everyone and their brother, didn't you. ;-)
OK, so everyone knows that loading Linux on Alpha is less than trivial,
so a while back we (Linuxcare) worked on the problem with Compaq and
came up with a JumpStart CD that's supposed to help with pre-configuring
an Alpha system before actually installing the distro. I've never used
it and I don't know what configurations it actually supports, but it's
available here:
http://www.linuxalpha.compaq.com/jumpstart/
Download the ISO, burn it on a CD and have at it.
