Alphaserver 2100A kernel support?

I found a DEC AS 2100A for a good price. It has NT4 on it now, but I was
wanting to play around with Linux on it obviously.

I did some searching on the web, basicly the only thing I could find was
people saying the machine was not supported. But most of those messages
were from 1999.

Has any progress been made with the later 2.[45] kernels with getting them
to boot on the LYNX class machines?

Thanks,
Chris
