Stopping "halt" on oops?

Well I got 2.5.7 to compile and link for the Alpha. But when I go to boot
it it seems to oops about half way though, but I have no idea what is
trying to be initialized at that point because the machine halts and
returns to the SRM too quick.

Is there anyway I can prevent the return to SRM when the kernel oops?
