Has anybody been experiencing problems with processes hanging with
recent kernels on Alpha SMP machines?
We've been running 2.4.5-ac13 for months without too many problems. I
recently updated to 2.4.18-rc4 and now processes hang and lock up
the /proc/<pid>/ directory. I've also tried 2.4.17 with exactly the same
results.
I've seen some mention of similar problems on the linux.kernel mailing
list, so I don't think it's an Alpha specific problem.
I'd really like to use some of the new VM stuff and driver updates in the
newer kernels so if anyone has any good advice it would be much
appreciated.
