Each package in the dist are actually one big gzipped tar-archive, which
then are splitted to fit onto 1.44MB floppys.

So packing each diskette again, wont earn you nothing.

Floiran La Roche has setup an mirror in Germany that mirrors everything
conerning Linux/Alpha.. jurix.jura.uni-sb.de/pub/linux/axp is the location.
