A rather complete port of libc and more user-level tools.
The library is in subdirectory libc-x.y.zz. Also features,
the latest versions of gcc, g++, libg++ and much more.
These tools should work with the latest kernel releases
(1.3.3, as of June 22). If you want to run the bleeding
edge releases of the kernel etc., start by installing BLADE,
then download the binaries on this server and install them
on top of BLADE (due to changes in the directory-reading
interface in the kernel, you won't be able to use utilities
such as "ls" with 1.3.x kernels)---you may want to make sure
you keep a backup copy of the BLADE binaries in case disaster
strikes.
I agree that this answer may not be in the obvious
place---reorganizing the FAQ probably would be a good idea. But right
now, it's the best there is... :)
BTW: there are still some timer-related bugs in 1.3.12/1.3.13. If
you're planning on user-level development, it may be safer to stay at
1.3.11 right now. I was planning to put out a new Noname patch as
soon as those timer-bugs have been fixed.
