I came across a spare Teac MT-2ST/N50 150 MB streaming cassette drive that
I have hooked up to my AXPpci. After a bit of hacking on the 1.3.13 st.c
to fix it for the new style ioctls, the tape drive works fine.
I can even manage to keep it streaming with 64KB blocks and tar, something
my Mac IIsi can't manage with its Teac tape.
I've been using the Yggdrasil Linux Internet Archives to fill out my system.
It has been tremendously useful and such a deal at $19.95. It beats making
tapes at work and bringing them home.
I had problems compiling groff with the 2.7.0 gcc compiler. g++ didn't like
references to variables declared like:
for (int i = 0; ...) {
....
}
i = ... /* Error here */
Since I don't have my draft C++ standard handy, I can't say if groff or g++
is at fault.
