I have a failsafe loader and an oldish SRM console that you should be
able to install with it. Though old, it ought to work just fine.
Once SRM is up and running, you should be able to upgrade to v1.3
easily. It would have to wait until tonight, though and you have to
be prepared to type in the dark (due to said VGA problem... :).

I think pretty much anything works with the SRM as it contains an x86
emulator. I know for sure that: S3 Vision864, S3 928, and Mach 64
work. But other should, too.
