Hello world,

First of : I would like to buy the noname, my brother wants to buy a
pentium 90 of 120. I'm bored with spec's and don't trust intel's results,
I just want to know on what program's the alpha is faster and on what the
pentium is faster. Ideal would be a "real" program, like : my simulation
of life|mandelbrod|doom|solar atmosfere runs n times faster/slower on a
pentium.

I would realy like a alpha, but I'm a bit concerned my brother's pentium
will whip my butt...

Second: The SRM is also used for configuration of the isa-pci adaptor,
does milo use the srm code or does it use the kernel ?

Third: I've got an idea for the video-card problems: use dos-emu to
record the i/o commands send on initialisation, and replay them. Of
course if there are multiple boot-up sequences, I'm in trouble.

Fourth: I've found a page from the net? bsd people on documentation for
the alpha, and it's full of goodies. However the files are .ps.gz, but
lynx thinks it's text :-(. Is there a European mirror of sorts ?

Looking forward to the time my lisp can use a 32 bit tag...

Groetjes,
