The patch is 16903 bytes long. Things seem to work reasonably well
with it. At least, I can do "mt -f /dev/zqft0 erase", "tar cvf
/dev/zqft0 /", and "tar tvf /dev/zqft0" without any problem. I'm not
sure how much of a compression there is, but it does seem to create
the compression map etc correctly.
And now that I specified -mno-fp-regs, ftape no longer kills
user-level processes, which is kind of nice... :)
