Yes, I had to specifically order the 36 bit SIMMs because
all the vendors here in town have switched to 32 bit since
all new motherboards which use the triton chip set can't
do parity.

I was told by the mother board vendor that I had to have a
minium of 4 SIMMs of the same type installed, I'll verify
this though.
