Could there be a bug in libc-0.38 ???

Hi.

I just builded NTeX and it worked fine, execept for one thing. I
wasn't able to build texinfo. I just received the linker message:

collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
/usr/lib/libc.a(__select.o): In function `__select':
__select.S:3: multiple definition of `select'
select.c(.text+0x0): first defined here
make[1]: *** [info] Error 1

I muse this errror is caused by libc and not by some source code
from texinfo, because on my old i386 linux-box I didn't receive any
error message.

Anyway, I will upload the now existing binaries and system dependent
files as a tar file on three ftp-sites (two europe, one US). If had
done that I pronounce where they are located.

Ciao

Torsten

p.s.: I will look out for the emacs error compiled with X. May be I
will find a solution.
