So you've got an AlphaPC64 (Cabriolet) with a TGA installed, right? That's
what the "Digital ZLXp-E1" means, ie you do *NOT* have a VGA in there.
Did you just grab a vmlinux.gz for the CABRIO off the net? If so, I do not
believe that any CABRIO kernels on the net were configured with TGA support.
Easiest solution: replace the TGA with a VGA of some flavor, esp. S3-based,
as that Xserver currently exists for Alpha. TGA Xserver is still a ways off,
so if you want to run X, S3 is the only (current) choice.
Otherwise, you need to reconfigure and build a kernel that has TGA support
in it, or talk some kind soul on the net into building one for you... :-)
