Sendmail works. UUCP appears to work , but inn does bad things to the system.
Using a config file for Intel Linux, I can get inn and all its associated
utilities to build and install, but when I try to start inn up, the system
develops strange problems.
Syslog stops working (redhat rpm version), I can no longer get a login
prompt when I telnet or rlogin into the system and su hangs at the password
prompt, but root can still su to other users. However the system isnt totally
gone. I can still telnet/ftp out, named still services zone transfer requests,
(although the fact it has done so, is no longer logged)
This btw is still happening after ive killed off the inn process. What
ever inn does, persists after its long gone. I have to reboot.
This is with 1.3.49 and libs 0.39, gcc 2.7.0.
I cant get 1.3.51 to run - it fails to initialise my ne2000 ethernet
card - cant find the interupt. The same config on .49 is working well,
except for what happens when I run inn.
