Im am currently trying to put a linux-alpha containing a noname board to
work. So far is was able to install milo and to boot uncompressed 1.3.49
kernel I have compiled myself. No problems so far.
A few days ago the noname board was equipped with 1MB of cache. Since this
was done
I get messages stating machine check forced, but doing no harm in non
regular periods of time. The messages states that reason for machine check
is unknown. Is this normal for a noname board or is probably something wrong
with my cache ?

I just tried to compile 1.3.52 kernel, but like some other people I wasn4t
able to get it work. My system is equipped with a ne2000 compatible network
card that worked well up to 1.3.49. 1.3.52 just tells me it is unable to
detect interrupt line. Is there a fix available for this problem or will it
be fixed in 1.3.53 or higher ?

Because I plan to use the alpha as some kind of internet-server we just
tried to compile on off the Intel-Linux isdn drivers. With some minor
modifications this ran well. But one problem remains. Has somebody already
ported module support to linux-alpha and if so, where can i get if from?
This is because all the drivers I tried so far insisted on compiling as a
loadable module and would require major changes to compile into the kernel.

Any help on one of these problems would be appreciated
Thanks in advance,
