Just uploaded aboot-0.3.tar.gz to ftp://ftp.azstarnet.com/pub/linux/aboot.
What changed:

- it now builds under OSF/1 again (assuming GNU make and
the OSF/1 gcc are installed)

- booting from floppy works again (assuming your SRM *can*
boot from floppy, which isn't true for the Jensen---no magic...)

- a few minor improvements to interactive booting (e.g., the
flag 'h' will print the contents of /etc/aboot.conf so it's
possible to find out what each default boot option does)

- really raw boots work again; what was called "raw boot" in
aboot-0.2 really is a filesystem-less boot; filesystem-less
boots still work but instead of specifying a name of -
you must now specify a name with a partition of 0
(e.g., 0/vmlinux.gz)

For more info, see the README file in the tar file.

Enjoy,

PS: There is also a tar file in pub/linux/misc/axpsrc-sysinfo-0.0.tar.gz
that contains a utility that prints various bits and pieces on how
the system chip sets are set up (e.g., the LCA chip on the Noname boards
or the APECS chip in a Cabriolet). It's all just evolving but it should
work fine both on a Noname and Cabriolet (and, in theory, on anything
else that uses the LCA or APECS chips). So if you want to find out
just how much cache there really is in your system or whether memory ECC is
enabled, give it a shot...
