What Alpha board for Linux?

Linux-Alpha NewBee Questions!

Having run Linux on an Intel-box for some time, I now want to move on
to something different - to an Alpha platform.

Having followed the linux-alpha list for a couple of weeks have raised
a few more questions than answered. 'NoName', 'Jensen' etc boards are
often mentioned, but I haven't got a clue on how to get my hands on
such a board. Therefore....

1) Could someone please mail me some information on an Alpha
platform 'proven in battle'

Motherboard manufacturer (address, price, etc..)
Configuration of the above mentioned
- memory,
- video,
- disk drives (HD, CD-ROM)
- .....

2) Beeing quite lazy, I would like to know if there are any
standard CD-ROM distributions of linux-alpha. If so where do I
get it from?


3) Where can I find the alpha-linux-faq? (That is if it exists...)
