I thought I knew about SCSI termination, so when I couldn't get it to work
I went and read the SCSI FAQ (comp.peripherals.scsi) and found out I didn't
really know it ...
But I have set the MB to terminated, and the drive to terminated. The strange
thing is, while the ARC console is initializing its drivers, whatever SCSI
device is present gets a drive select (or whatever the SCSI equivalent is)
every 15 seconds or so. The LED flashes, and if the CDROM drive has a disk I
can hear it seeking or something. And after 5 minutes of this, the SCSI
controller gets the OK.
Can you tell me what the correct behaviour of a board with nothing connected
to the SCSI connector is? (i.e. no cable, and just the MB end of the bus
terminated)

>(Now if only I could find out how to disable the termination on my Multia...)
I haven't come across that, but I'll see if I can find out.

regards,
Conor.
