I had the same problem after I assembled my noname based
alpha for the fist time, but I got it fixed after a quick look
into the documentation.
I think you use a standard pc case for your alpha. So just
connect the reset switch to the appropriate Jumpers
(J11) according to my documentation. Now you only have
to set the HALT/RESET Select jumper (J8 according to my
documentation again) to correct position PIN1-2 shortened.
(Factory default is PIN 2-3 shortened. This will only make
your alpha freeze as long as the button is pressed)
This will at least make your reset switch working I hope,
at least it just works fine in my alpha.
Btw. If i shutdown my alpha using the shutdown command and
set the option to reboot immediately after shutdown, I just
get a normal shutdown but no reboot. Is there a fix available
because it would be very intersting, because sometimes
I use my alpha just remotely via internet, but I am not able to
do a complete restart remotly.
