Hi,
Installing Blade 0.3 on my noname I've always had intermitent messages of
the form:

floppy drive timeout handler died: do fd request.

Now I can get the machine up if I '#'-out the line fsck in rc otherwise
every nth time it will finish the fsck, most often it dies...
and any time I do any significant disk activity the process responsible dies
even syncs sometimes do it. I can kill -9 the shell that spawned the process
and then login again. Then any further process that tries to access the disk
will also die. Mounts sometimes die on the floppy drive.

I've tried various IDE drives from 850Mb to 1.275 Gb. and I've tried 3
floppy drives. I pulled a working ISA IDE/floppy drive controller out of an
intel box and it powered up the card but still looked for deveices on the
inbuilt controllers. If I stuck a PCI IDE/floppy controller on it would it
look for devices there as well or still only on the builtins ?
I've tried different cables.

The machine runs okay for hours so long as no disk activity occurs.
It is near impossible to install subsets..
