Do you know were I could get this document? Also, does anyone know of any
textbooks that describe algorythms used to approximate trancendental
functions? I find this subject really interesting, but my knowlege is
limited to pretty simple stuff like Taylor series and Newtons's method.
I would love to know what is used in practice.

Also, does anyone know Bill Metzenthen, the person who wrote the '387
emulator? He still seems to be activly working on the '387, and if he
enjoys writting this kind of stuff, perhaps he would like to work on the
libm for linux-alpha.
