The system comes up - but stops at the point
VFS: Mouting root (ext2 ... ) read only
The disc is heard to rattle at that point briefly and the system stops
dead. Normally the next message is the adding swap space message.
I assume that the mount of the root fs has suceeded but the swap setup
died.
I tried this with and without ALWAYS_SYNC in the ncr driver. I picked
6Mhz as a sync speed. ( I have a long scsi cable out to a Tanberg tape
drive,)
1.3.56 is running well, so no hardware fault.
