Henk,

According to the Customer Technical Information document (aka user guide)
you need to fit either 4 or 8 SIMMs. This is because the memory data bus is
128 bits wide.

If you fit 4 SIMMs, put one in the SIMM socket closest to the edge of the
board, and then in *alternate* SIMM sockets. That is bank 0.

The system supports 16Mbyte and 64MByte SIMMs. The banks can be of
different types (but all 4 SIMMS within a bank must be the same type).

The manual doesn't sday but I suspect that if you use small and large SIMMs,
you should put the large SIMMS in bank 0.

Hi,

Can some tell me if the absolote minimum for a JENSEN is 4 x 4Mb SIMM
or will 2 x 4Mb also work ?

I don't want to spent to much money during the 'initial phase' of
my Linux-Alpha project.
