may not have believed it at first, but he doesn now.
Unfortunately, I'm not at work today, but at home so I don't have
access to my XL266 (just a UDB). If it is any consolation, this
is my top priority thing. Matti gave me a log file that shows
nothing particlarly wrong except that I'm suspicious that the
block of data read from the floppy is all zeros. That is hightly
unusual, the EXT2 code reads the super block first and that
definitely is not all zeros. I believe that the EXT2 code is
correct, so maybe it's in the device driver bit of Milo. Maybe
Milo believes that the read of the block of data is complete
before it really is, thus a zero'd block would be returned.
If anyone can try the following on an XL system that
refuses to read its floppy:
(1) does it read a CD correctly? Eg ls -t is9660 sr0?
(2) Can it read an ext2 SCSI disk correctly?
