Hi Bjoern, I've also a noname...

I have 11 SRAM chips, Type "9519 F USA, MT 5C2568, -20 IT", **28-pin**,
**32Kx8**, ?, 20ns types.

The firmware says that it detected them.
I've hesited a while for inserting them (the Digital AXPpci 33 documentation
is not so clear on that point, ?). So:

I put the board on a table, in the position I can read (in the right side)
what is written on the printed circuit (e.g. from left to tright "E47", "E44",
"C107"... then the huge cooler on the Alpha chip itself).

In the nearest row of 3 chips (the farest row has only 2 of them), each chip is
plugged with its "little dot" at my left hand-side; it is aligned at my right
(i.e there are unused holes at my left); and finally it uses the nearest row of
holes.

Then, when I go to the next row of chips, there is a row of holes which is
kept unused; in the farest row of (2) chips, the farest row of holes is free.

Good luck!
