The comments are irritating!
EV56 is the 21164A, a enhanced version of the 21164, implemented in
a 0.35u process and using a mixed 2V / 3.3V supply scheme.
It's clocked at about 433MHz. Other changes compared to the 21164
are new byte-wide memory access instructions and larger D-cache (?).
It has been announced and there was a short article in Electronic Design,
February 19, 1996.
EV6 must be the 21264 but it has not been announced yet.
