Hmm, just 'cos I go away for a couple of days everything falls apart.
There was a problem sometime back with floppy reads that was to do with
buffer allocation. Basically, my mechanism gave a slightly different
alignment to Linus' code. Jay Estabrook found this and fixed it as
part of the XL/avanti work. Meanwhile, all images in /images have
been fully tested by me, the ones in /test-images less so. The Milo
fro Alpha PC64 is the one that I am running now on my main development
system and that boots a floppy. I cannot be more helpful until I'm back
in my office (I'm just about to give a talk (on guess what) at CERN).
Try one of:
(1) The archived images on gatekeeper,
(2) MS-DOS floppy,
(3) Red Hat's release area.
