I recently got a copy of the noblink patch for 1.3.94.
(FYI: this is a patch to linux/driver/char/console.c to make
the cursor a non-blinking block instead of the blinking
underscore). It patched all fine into the linux source
(1.3.94 and 1.3.100), compiled problemless, but booting did
not go at all: I didn't even get the first line 'Console...'
Although the patch is written for Intel machines, it don't
see why it wouldn't work on my Alpha.
Is there someone who has succeeded with this patch? Or any
one a good idea why it won't work?
