No problem with the GXE64Pro, that's from #9 and based on an S3 chip, prolly
the 964. Runs quite nicely with the XFree86 S3 server, now available in
3.1.2E beta-test flavor:

The Adaptec AH-2940 has not, to my knowledge, been ported to the Alpha.
I believe it (DEC KZPAA-AA) to be a standard implementation of the 2940.
So, it won't appear in any of the RH 2.1 *or* 3.0.3 AXP pre-built kernels.

Currently, the most stable and common SCSI driver for Alpha is the NCR810.
I've submitted Alpha-related patches to Linus for the experimental QLogic
1020ISP driver, but so far (pre-2.0.9) they haven't shown up. Others may
have been ported to Alpha; check the Linux-Alpha FAQ:

http://www.azstarnet.com/~axplinux/FAQ.html

The DE450 *is* supported by the DE4X5 (and maybe TULIP) drivers in LINUX.
Most RH pre-built Alpha kernels contain the DE4X5 driver.

Good luck.
