Kernel compilation...

Hi there!

I've been going the distance with my Jensen and I've come to a bit of a
dead end....

The jensen has broken keyboard logic but is otherwise fine. It boots Jim
Paradis' kernel off gatekeeper and does fine at tthe SRM/ARC console.

The idea was to compile a new Jensen kernel with the headless boot
patches so that I could complete the installation of Linux over the
Serial Line and set up the Alpha as a 'pure' network box.

Unfortunately I haven't been able to build gcc as a cross-compiler
alpha-dec-linux. So I'm stuck with a machine asking for an <ENTER> to
continue installation on a machine which doesn't recognise its own
keyboard.

Question: Would somebody who actually has an AXP unit up and running be so
kind as to compile me such a 'headless'-kernel?

Regards,
