The image above must be one of those "boot into MILO from SRM console"
ones; I've not had much experience with those, and what I have had was
not successful.

I'm betting that the XL kernel expects to be booted from ARC/MILO *only*, so
booting it from "aboot" won't work. Try with an AVANTI kernel which has been
built to be booted from SRM console, if such exists on the CD.

Successful installation to an AS-250 has been posted.
HOWEVER, be warned that that ZLXp-L? graphics adapter is *NOT* supported
for running X, and *may* give problems as a simple VGA (hope not, but it's
a real strange bird). It is *NOT* a TGA; the supported ones are ZLXp-E[123]
*ONLY*!!!
If you're running the kernels from off the Red Hat CD, those have support
for both VGA and TGA simultaneously, so they're prolly using the VGA code
when they don't find a TGA.
