Make sure you have the GNU tools -- I think Digital sed (or some other
program) breaks (Has this been fixed? A tiny voice in my head seems to
insist the kernel compile now checks for the correct programs..?) Well,
at least it used to, when I built a linux kernel under OSF/1 (3.0 I think).

PS: So Digital is discontinuing LCA? Does than mean the target now is
just the high end computers, or are prices coming down to fill the gap?
