disk size question.

I know this is not quite the group for this question but I hope sombody
has run into this befor and can direct me. I have tried web searching to
no avail.

Is there a problem with a 4GB partition on a SCSI drive under Linux? I
seem to be getting a number of bad I node bitmap errors. I saw these
problems on one of our 386 systems and just attributed it to a hardware
problem since the system was of dubious origin. But it has shown up again
on a new Cabriolet.
