linux kernel 2.0.29+

I have some problems with my kernel both 2.0.29, and the recent 2.1.26. It
all started after i got 128mb memory in my alphastation 255, I never got
any kernel dumps before, but I do know. I know on the i386 that you shall
give the kernel a switch, because it cannot find mem over 64mb. Could that
be the problem ???
