What machine do I have???

Hi you all,
I'm the lucky owner of an ALPHAstation 255 (233MHz) and I'd like to
install Linux on it.
I surfed a lot, and I found MILO on the RedHat site. I know that MILO
means MIni-LOader for Linux, but I don't know what's the right version of
the program I need. I found a lot of directories in the site, with strange
names and without any kind of help. Even the DEC-site doesn't contain any
useful information (at least, I haven't found it!).
Could you help me?

(P.S. I think that the question is not so stupid: why didn't DEC supply
more explicit documentation for my computer?)
