I found a strange behaviour on my UDB under linux 2.0.30; it is not a
problem, but rather funny, and I am interested in knowing what exactly
happens.
Whenever I bump the table on which the UDB is, my syslog is filled with
a few dozens of this messages:
lca: machine check (la=0xfffffc0000208490,pc=0xfffffc000039b000)
Unknown errorlog size 64
(and I also hear the hard disk a lot)
I suppose this is due to the hard disk, which detected the vibration and
recalibrates itself; it then emits this messages, and linux is smart enough
to catch them. Am I correct ?
