I have an AlphaStation 500 running at 333 MHz. I am trying to boot,
but am having no luck. According to
http://www.redhat.com/support/docs/rhl-alpha/rh42-hardware-alpha.html,
this is an Alcor type machine. I have been trying to boot various
floppy images intended for the alcor and some of the other types.
When I try to boot the milo.dd I get from
ftp://gatekeeper.dec.com/pub/Digital/Linux-Alpha/Miniloader/archive/images/alcor/,
I never get past the line 'jumping to bootstrap code'.

Here is what I get:
ea.e9.f4.e8.e7.e6.e5.e4
Digital AlphaStation 500/333 Console V5.0-13
built on Jan 25 1996 at 14:19:23
>>>boot dva0
(boot dva0.0.0.0.1 -flags A)
block 0 of dva0.0.0.0.1 is a valid boot block
reading 717 blocks from dva0.0.0.0.1
bootstrap code read in
base = 138000, image_start = 0, image_bytes = 59a00
initializing HWRPB at 2000
initializing page table at 12a000
initializing machine state
setting affinity to the primary CPU
jumping to bootstrap code

Any help appreciated.
