Concur with Andrew, but
I would like to add my 2 cents re: Micrway FORTRAN:

We, too, have legacy FORTRAN code we must run on our
new alpha from Microway. Unfortunately, their FORTRAN
does have some limitations at present as far as we
are concerned:

1. Problems linking many/large modules (possibly related
to similar problem with ld and large C programs).

2. Lack of integer*8 capability.

However, they seem to be committed to inproving the
product and we have accepted their product with the
understanding that it will continue to be enhanced.

The problem with 64-bit pointers and C was easily fixed,
but the ld problem which has affected our C programs is
a show stopper at present. I have watched this and
other lists (for almost two months) for others having the
same problem and have only seen one other similar
complaint.
