I am a VERY happy Alpha/Linux user. Check out the Aspen Systems offerings
at www.aspsys.com for systems using the new 21164pc Alpha chip. These new
Aspen Systems products apparently also use a new motherboard design so
make sure you specify that the system must be delivered with Linux
pre-installed. If you need an excellent Fortran system look at Microway at
www.microway.com. Both are excellent companies. I have an Aspen
Alpha-based system running Linux 2.0.18 as my primary web and development
server, have had no problems and am very pleased.....
