linux-alpha: Weird RedHat Installation problem.

Hello,

Having recently aquired my first Alpha Machine (YooHoo) I was anxious
to install Linux/Alpha to really get some kicking power.

MILO running went fine and the installation started smoothly thanx to
the RedHat Manuals. I want to install over network (since I don't have
RH on CD) but when I came to type in the ip address and relevant info
the system freezes when I hit [OK]. Not only deadlock but a total
crash without eror messages.

Has anyone experienced this before?

Before you start, this is NOT a module problem. eth0 is detected quite
fine at startup and the same problem occurs with a Digital 100/10 card
and a NE2000. The base system is a PC164+21164 500 Mhz system, 2940
SCSI and S3 graphics adapter. Nothing making trouble as far as I can see.

Otherwise I will have to hack the thing... Hmmm, I *could* copy the Rh
installation onto the harddisk diskette by diskette from the
installation bash prompt :-)
