MILO - single-user startup

Is there a way at the MILO prompt to restart my Linux/Alpha machine in
single-user mode? I haven't found anything in any of the MILO documentation
that I have access to. (Apologies if this is another FAQ ...)

Somehow my root password has 'become corrupted' so I have no privileged
account on this machine. I cannot do a controlled shutdown from any of my
non-privileged accounts, nor can I edit the password file. I hoped to do a
single-user startup so I can remedy the situation - I imagined that there
might be a suitable MILO boot-string to pass to the kernel for this. Is
there?

I don't want to shutdown and 'try it out' at the moment, because this machine
acts as a mail server for some of our incoming email, and is set to restart
without the network interfaces activated ... no root, no networks, no mail!

Thanks
