I have a SX164 system running rh5.0. I mount the directory having my
mailbox is nfs-mounted (via amd) from a system running digital unix. My
system has a 21140-based card and I am using the tulip driver. I read my
mail in pine 3.96 and my mailbox currently has about 500 kb in it.
Everything works well into when I start pine, sending mail works o.k. and
everything works well. The problem is when I quit pine after changing my
mailbox (e.g., reading or deleting mail). It takes a very long time (30
seconds?) to quit. I don't have this problem when I read from other
systems running Digital Unix. Performance on other file io over the
network doesn't seem to be too bad. Does anybody have any suggestions why
pine would seem to have this problem?
