FPE and DEC Alpha

There have been a few quiet threads regarding
FPE's with Linux and DEC alpha--lately regarding
a sqrt patch by Richard Henderson for glibc and
a development kernel. But I (and others) still have
the problem running 2.0.x kernels--and we need a fix!

I'm afraid to do much with glibc myself what with all
the horror stories (including mine) about inoperative
systems with bad lib generation, etc.

The other day I asked a simple question that got no
response: Does the new glibc rpm from Red hat (posted
20 Mar) have the sqrt fix? If it doesn't, could someone
please add it?

Thanks so much to all the developers. We commercial users
want to continue to support the DEC Alpha and Linux
software, but we need help when mission critical
system/development software has known bugs.

Thanks.
