Doug, I'm using your 5.0.10 patch on kernel 2.0.33
on my DEC alpha and, so far, everything seems to be
running fine (I'm doing a tar backup on my HP DAT while
running a steady stream of disk-intensive jobs).

By the way, Microway's tech rep yesterday told me
that the Adaptec could only handle three SCSI devices
--surely that is not a SCSI "standard!"

Also, do you have any hints as to the best settings
beteeen the Adaptec-2940UW and the configuration
file to use a mixed bag of wide disks most efficiently?
