after seeing all the problems, I decided it wasn't worth installing.
My main interest in RH5.0 is to be able to run 2.1.xx kernels without
going thru kartwheels to get the right SW levels needed to run it.
The 2.1.xx kernels are supposed to have better EIDE support for Alpha.
Lot's of people bitch about EIDE on the Alpha MB's but the chipset is
actually OK. Just the 2.0.xx kernels don't have good drivers for it.
The other interest in 2.1.xx is to see if it supports file sizes larger
than 2GB.
