make menuconfig, no selection for ncr53c8xx or ncr53c7xx/8xx

Hello All, For my first attempt at compiling a kernel
on AS200-4/100 system I did a

make menuconfig

Only to find I couldn't see either of the NCR drivers.

make config

I had no problems , May their be a patch or some insight
into what I am probably doing wrong ?
