ZIP drive...

Hi,
I'm trying to get my parallel port ZIP drive working on my DEC
multia. I just recompiled a new kernel and config'd it for the PPA
low-level scsi driver. However, when I boot I get this message:
May 13 23:31:25 alpha kernel: PPA: unable to initialise controller at
0x378, error 1

Does anyone know if there's anything I could do to fix that? I figured it
was something with the hardware on the multia itself because the zip drive
works fine on my intel box running slackware.

Also...if anyone else knows anything else I could try for ppp (I
posted some messages earlier about some trouble I was having with it)...I
still can't get it working :( I have recompiled a new kernel, tried
several ppp/chat scripts, etc, etc...and it still says "device route:
Network is unreachable" and then it hangs up right after that. I am
planning to try to get IP Masq config'd on it so I can just connect
through my intel box and then get on the net with the multia, but for now
I want to get ppp working.

Thanks for anyone's help.
Aaron
