Hi,
I just got IP Masq. setup on my intel box so I can masquerade on
my alpha. It seems to be working, but I get these errors in my logs on
the alpha everytime to try to do something that involves transmitting or
recieving packets on the net:
kernel: unaligned trap at fffffc0000365b14: fffffc0001b6483e 28 2
May 17 17:32:12 alpha kernel: kernel: unaligned trap at fffffc0000365bd0:
fffffc0001b6483e 28 1
May 17 17:32:12 alpha kernel: kernel: unaligned trap at fffffc0000381bc0:
fffffc0001b6483e 28 2
May 17 17:32:12 alpha kernel: kernel: unaligned trap at fffffc0000381c78:
fffffc0001b6483e 28 2
May 17 17:32:18 alpha kernel: kernel: unaligned trap at fffffc0000365b14:

May 17 17:32:18 alpha kernel: kernel: unaligned trap at fffffc0000365bd0:
fffffc0001f4d036 28 1
May 17 17:32:18 alpha kernel: kernel: unaligned trap at fffffc0000381bc0:

May 17 17:32:18 alpha kernel: kernel: unaligned trap at fffffc0000381c78:
fffffc0001f4d036 28 2
and everytime i do something (like issue an FTP command) those errors dump
to my logs. I can get out to the net on the alpha through masquerading,
but it seems a bit slow sometimes and it seems like things timeout.
Like...I went out to netscape's ftp site and it was fine until i did about
the 5th cd command, then it just stopped and i had to abort it. Does
anyone know what those errors are in my kernel, and if there's anything
else I need to do to get masquerading working well on my alpha? Thanks.
Aaron
