So you are saying to
o leave the "spd_vhi" flag set on the serial port
o set the comm application's baud rate to 38400

I will still get the 115K of throughput through my ISDN modem? If that
is the case, what is the difference between Intel and Alpha serial
ports? I have my Intel setup at 115K for both the serial port and the
comm application and it works fine.

If you set spd_vhi then the driver for the serial port
sets the actual
speed at 112000 when the comm app demands 38400!!!! You
won't see
112000 anywhere but that is the speed the port is
running at. If you
don't believe me take some meassurements. :-)))
