My uniprocessor AMD K6-2/300 fails to do anything network-related
shortly after the tulip module is loaded under 2.2.14.
/var/log/messages contains the following:

It continues like this: ... sensed media ... transmit timed out ...
ad nauseum.
Falling back to 2.2.13 fixes the problem.
Switching to de4x5.o instead of tulip.o under 2.2.14 also fixes the
problem.
Any other info I could provide that would be of use?
